I started making these for a sort of relationship/character connection web and now it's basically got the unspoken goal of "make one for every character who isn't an explicit spoiler"

i love how your characters have improved and changed, became more "adult". i remember Timmy (eheheh) being a sweet teenage non-smoking draco-boy when i just watched your account. as i can mention, HG, Roirom, Greasy, Jenny, Hammers and Shadow Tag became definitely more brutal; Kathy Lou and Ferrumite twins, on the contrary, now look cuter (the last two remind me of sly tomcats). hope to see Simon and Patty soon.

Timmy actually always smoked, even when he looked like a chibi lizard with croissants for horns xD
It's just he only did it on occasion to calm his nerves. Now he does it more, for that reason among others, plus, he'd need to smoke more to keep his nerves calmed with all the shit he goes through these days

Oh, I've been working on the Timothy Gorefester concept for years, and typically the characters just sort of develop on their own in my brain. Why do you ask?

Because all of my characters are starting to look the same so I wanted to know how to biggest artist I know worked

Well it helps to not limit yourself to a single style or type, for example, instead of just drawing anthropomorphic animals, one can draw robots, aliens, or abstract things that don't make any kind of sense, and that's even not including humans, stylized or otherwise.

Some of my characters start as me just putting random lines and shapes and seeing what happens, and then making something out of the result.

Scratch is actually way different from her first design (( [link] bottom row, all the way to the right)), and Karma was "random shape vomit made into a character" haha.
